Welcome to our devotional site. I’m Harvey Diamond, Director of Arise in Glory International. We are a non-profit organization with a mission to foster spiritual growth and expanding capacity by bringing balance, relevance and practicality of God’s grace and truth to life. We do this through teaching, seminars and various media.
This devotional site is focused on fostering a rich devotional experience that will not only provide relevant insights on a wide variety of topics but encourage people to bring God into the equation of every facet of life. Our aim is to inspire people to grow into the fullness of their fruit-bearing capacity by strengthening their roots of faith and encouraging an active and dynamic relationship with God.
My hope is that you will find nuggets of wisdom gained through over 30 years of life experience and active engagement with God; much of which has been recorded in my personal prayer journal. Having experienced the love and guidance of the Lord since coming to faith in 1977, I have found that God is always watching over us and truly desires for us to acknowledge the presence of His Holy Spirit and allow Him to be actively involved in the affairs of our life. The Lord has guided me through adversity and turbulence and graced me with awesome and rich experiences. My passion is to help others tap into His love, power, grace and truth and benefit through an active relationship with Him that He be glorified.
Most of the topics relate in one way or another to spiritual growth, faith building and personal development. My goal is to provide insightful, relevant content that you can reflect on, pray about and apply daily. Since we all go through different things and face different issues, I encourage you to be guided by the Holy Spirit and pick topics that relate to issues you are currently dealing with. This way God’s guidance is real, relevant and fresh every day!

My Biography
The Lord has graced me in business and ministry. I’ve spent 22 years in trade magazine publishing and have also worked in telecommunications for three years. Since 1984 I’ve led small groups and have taught in various congregational settings in the US and abroad.
My beginnings include growing up in Brooklyn and Long Island, NY; and an MBA in Marketing from Hofstra University and BA in Communications Arts from New York Institute of Technology. Coming from a conservative Jewish background in New York, I came to faith in Messiah Yeshua—Jesus Christ in 1977.
My mother died when I was 7, leaving a huge void in my soul. Twelve years later I had a unique experience on the streets of Brooklyn that touched me greatly, caused me to acknowledge God’s divine providence and presence and seek Him diligently for truth. After first engaging in weekly Bible study with my rabbi, God brought my Bar Mitzvah scripture to life in an incredible way: “Arise, shine, for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee” (Isaiah 60:1). He poured out grace and truth and I eventually became persuaded that Jesus Christ is Messiah and Lord. God’s Word simply came alive to me. After several years, He made His presence even more real through the Holy Spirit, and has been a real Father and Friend ever since.
I’ve had my share of ups and downs; having lived through conflict and adversity, pain and prosperity. It’s been a blessing being a part of some amazing testimonies, seeing lives changed in dramatic ways. I’ve been fortunate to have a wonderful wife and two children that bring me much joy.
