We can read stories that testify of the events that took place in the lives of people like Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Joshua and David, glean from the treasury of wisdom written by Solomon in the book of Proverbs and learn from the parables Jesus related about the dynamics of the Kingdom of God.
